What a Commercial Signal Booster Does

A commercial cell signal booster — also called a passive DAS or bi-directional amplifier system — captures the cellular signal available outside the building, amplifies it, and redistributes it indoors through a network of antennas. It works in both directions: your phone's signal back to the tower is amplified too.

It works with the signal your carriers already broadcast. No new towers, no carrier contracts, no equipment on users' phones.

Do boosters work if there's no outside signal?

A booster amplifies signal that already exists outside the building. If the outside signal is extremely weak, the evaluation identifies that early and we discuss what design — if any — can work.

Which carriers does a commercial system support?

Systems can be configured for compatible carriers, and the exact configuration is confirmed during design. Tell us your main affected carriers in the form.

Do users have to join a network or change settings?

No. A cellular booster works directly with compatible phones and cellular devices. There's no network to join and nothing to install on phones.

How long does a commercial installation take?

It depends on the size of the property and the system design. After the evaluation, you get a schedule before any work starts.

Is the equipment FCC-certified?

Commercial deployments use FCC-certified booster equipment. Where carrier registration applies, it's handled as part of the project.
